Amazon
CASE STUDY
E-commerce is already growing at double digit pace around the world and by 2030, global consumption will have increased by USD23 trillion with large cities accounting for almost 80% of that consumption*.
To meet this growing demand, our customers are re-evaluating their supply chains and increasing the use of automation to help them drive efficiency to remain competitive, placing greater importance on the role of logistics and warehousing space.
Location selection, building design for clear heights, truck access, product flows and storage configurations are all important factors that influence how Goodman designs, delivers, and maintains our facilities. This is coupled with developing high-quality properties only in locations where you want to be, largely fuelled by your need to be located close to consumers in urban areas to meet heightened consumer expectations around faster delivery.
Goodman has developed some of the largest e-retail distribution centres across the globe, working with successful e-retailers and multi-channel retailers including Amazon, Alibaba, JD.Com, Zalando, Cdiscount, eBay and Net a Porter. In Europe alone, Goodman has developed in excess of 1.2 million sqm of warehouse and distribution facilities for leading online e-commerce provider, Amazon.
